non-matching mittens
Frogging time. Rubbish.
Right mitt is finished, my tension went loose at the top of it cos my grip was rubbish this morning so it’s a bit baggy, I might frog it a bit, haven’t decided yet. Anyway, I really like it.

Baggy topped fetching mitt
that work, never mind the Max Bygraves stuff. Anyway, I found a lovely free pattern via Ravelry for quick to knit fingerless mittens, which I hope will help keep my hands warm and stop them from hurting so much.
They are knitted in Aran weight on 4mm needles so the needles are easy to hold when your grip is bad. I’ve nearly finished one of them already, just a cable and the thumb bit to do and I only started yesterday.
Happy girl!
Here they are, in glorious technicolour. Phew – only frogged on the first one, second one worked fine till the Kitcheners stitch at the end – then I made a weeny mistake. It doesn’t really show but I know it is there. Grrrrrr. Bry still says I should have given up with one and sold it to the one-legged lady at the festival.

All done

Close up of the beads and bobbles
Here’s what I’ve been up to lately. Progress so far on Bri’s bolero. This is a good one for knitting in public, as you don’t need to concentrate too much.

Anyway, I’m knitting Bri’s direct from the pattern and Mikey’s from my head as she is too big for the size range – hence the 2 at once approach. Seems to be working so far.
Always a good thing, this time I bought wool! I’ll add pictures later……..
The first sock is done – and here I am modelling it

Can you see the beads?
I need to get Bry to vacuum……
